What is BREAK?
BREAK now stands for "Biomedical and Rehabilitation Engineering Advancement in Kansas". It is a KU program previously supported by a grant from General & Age Related Disabilities Engineering at the National Science Foundation. The goal is to provide people in Kansas with helpful devices, while training students in rehabilitation engineering.

The BREAK program directly aids individuals with disabilities by providing custom assistive or rehabilitation devices for the home, for work, or for recreation at no cost to them. Institutions that employ and/or serve individuals with disabilities can also receive custom assistive or rehabilitation devices for their employees or clients at no cost.
